Mt. Torreys (14,269 feet)
Torreys Peak and Grays Peak, often called the Twin Peaks, or "Ant Hills" by the Indians, were named for John Torrey and Asa Gray who achieved fame with the publishing of their monumental Flora of North America. Torrey visited his namesake in August, 1872, and was content to let his daughter reach its summit.
