Mt. Evans (14,264 feet)
Dominating the Front Range skyline to the west of Niwot is the sprawling massif of Mount Evans. Connected to this peak with the forbidding Sawtooth Ridge is Mount Bierstadt, although Evens is the only peak visible from the eastern plains. In the 1930's a road was carved to the summit, and remains one of only two Colorado Fourteeners that can be summited in a car!
